A beautiful set of 2 communion crosses in mother-of-pearl and solid silver. This type of cross was part of the education and religious upbringing of many people for nearly a hundred years.

Indeed, wearing this cross during the ceremony was essential. These pieces are particularly ornate and were not intended for all social classes. They were certainly designed in the workshop of a skilled jeweler, or even a master goldsmith. The mother-of-pearl is delicate, and the crosses have rounded sections, which makes them difficult to produce. The silver parts are very finely crafted and manually fixed with silver rivets.

The crosses end in decorated silver cabochons. Very fine pieces of silversmithing and religious art. Dimensions: 8 cm x 6 cm and 7 cm x 3.5 cm. Weight: 11 g and 8 g.
