The front depicts Saint Clotilde beneath an architectural arch with the inscription “STE CLOTILDE REINE DES FRANCS.” The back is finely engraved with the famous historical and religious motto: “GESTA DEI PER FRANCOS / DIEV DE CLOTILDE / QVI NOVS DONNAS / LA VICTOIRE / TV ES / NOTRE.”
