Rare solid silver lipstick case dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Art Nouveau design with an engine-turned central section and two borders decorated with leaf-pattern friezes. The smooth bands are gilded. Button-operated mechanism, with what appears to be a face motif. Needs cleaning; I preferred to leave it untouched. In good pre-owned condition, with tiny dents on the lid. Hallmarked with a boar’s head, a Minerva head, and a diamond-shaped maker’s mark. Measures 57 mm by 15 mm.
