Magnificent silver vertu box (pill box or snuff box) with a gilt-silver interior, dating from the late 19th century. This object is a high-quality Parisian silversmith’s piece, featuring extremely fine guilloché work on all sides. The lid and sides are decorated with crossed geometric patterns, with a central cartouche engraved with a stylized monogram surrounded by floral ornament.
Material: Solid silver (Minerva guarantee hallmark, 1st or 2nd standard).
Interior: Original gilt silver (silver covered with gold), well preserved.
Maker’s mark in a diamond shape, perfectly legible, with the name "GRICOURT" and the dolphin symbol.
Weight: 50 grams (a pleasingly dense, high-quality piece).
Exterior: In very good overall condition. The guilloché is crisp, with no major dents.
