Antique English silver visiting card case with shell decoration, CD

  
Antique English silver calling card case featuring a shell motif and a medallion engraved with the monogram "CD". It bears numerous hallmarks, as is typical of our British friends. "E" (maker's mark), the female head (London), the lion (England), the letter "E" (1880), and a fifth mark I was unable to identify. Dimensions: 8.4 cm x 6.2 cm x 1.5 cm. Note: the clasp mechanism is missing.
