Antique 950 sterling silver tea strainer, Minerva hallmark, Art Nouveau
Superb antique solid silver tea strainer, finely chased with an elegant raised floral Art Nouveau-inspired design, typical of the late 19th to early 20th century. This piece of French silversmithing is authenticated by the Minerva hallmark (950% solid silver) as well as the maker’s mark (B & P).
Equipped with its original hook and handle, it hangs perfectly on the rim of a cup or teapot to filter loose tea with elegance. Its refined decoration, delicate craftsmanship, and the quality of its silver make it a piece that is as beautiful to use as it is to display in a collection of silverware or tableware.
