Magnificent Vintage Minaudière in Solid Silver and Brocade Silk
I offer you a magnificent vintage minaudière made of solid silver and silk. The clasp's decoration is very intricate and rich in decorative elements typical of the baroque style, which has become very fashionable again at the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century. It features the hallmark and silverware mark of the German company Mayer Martin, founded in 1838 and confiscated in 1938. The bag is made of hand-stitched brocade silk. In very good overall condition, there are noticeable repairs to the fabric, especially on the inside, which is quite normal for an object that is 100 years old. The net weight of the solid silver clasp is 120 grams. The height of the minaudière is 16 cm, and the width is 20 cm.
The length of the bag's opening is approximately 15 cm. A very beautiful and elegant historical piece. PS The bag is padded for the photo.
