Antique and authentic Afghan ring from the early 20th century in solid silver: see the 925 hallmark (photos). This hallmark indicates the jewelry is made of solid silver, composed of 92.5% pure silver. It is adorned with an oval cabochon in carnelian featuring an intaglio depicting a scorpion. The bezel is decorated with 10 small claws that hold the stone. The shoulders of the ring are embellished with beautiful arabesques.
